Delete your account
You can delete your Priboo account yourself, at any time, from the app. Deletion is permanent.
Before you start
- If you own a house where other people are members, transfer its ownership first: deletion is blocked until you do, so that other members’ history is not erased.
- Cancel your subscription if you have one. Deleting the account does not stop it: the App Store or Google Play would keep billing it.
- Export your data if you want to keep a copy: Profile › Account & Security › Export my data.
In the app
- Open Priboo and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Tap the Profile tab, then Account & Security.
- In the Danger zone, tap Delete my account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete my account permanently.
Deletion is immediate.
What is deleted
Deleting your account is permanent. Identifying profile data is removed; shared history can remain under an anonymized identity.
- Your name, email and profile photo are removed
- Your current and upcoming stays are removed, along with your participation in other current and upcoming stays
- Houses you own without other members are deleted. For a house with other members, transfer ownership before deleting your account.
What is kept
Identifying account data is removed when the account is deleted. Past stays in retained houses can remain linked to an anonymized identity to preserve the shared history. Account deletion does not erase every historical record or subscription transaction.
Stays are kept for as long as the house exists. Technical logs are kept only for the duration necessary and proportionate to securing the service and investigating faults.
Sign in with Apple
If you signed in with Apple and Priboo still appears in your Apple settings after deletion, remove it: Settings › your name › Sign in with Apple › Priboo › Delete.
Without access to the app
Write to us at contact@priboo.app from your account’s email address, with the subject “Account deletion”. If you no longer have access to that address, tell us: we will ask you for something to confirm the account is yours.
We then delete the account under the same rules as in the app, and confirm the deletion by email.
Timing
From the app, deletion is immediate. By email, we handle the request within one month at most, as required by the GDPR.
